How
we got started:
Herschell and Cay Teague
founded Teague & Teague Insurance in
May 1982. The first office was located in the old
Educational Building of the First Methodist Church. In 1984, we
moved to our current location, 219 North Second St.
From that beginning, our premium volume and number
of policyholders has continued to grow every year. We
are very thankful for each and every customer that
chooses to place their trust in our agency, and we strive everyday
to be worthy of that trust.
All our employees are
licensed agents and participate in many educational opportunities
every year. Herschell died in 2004 leaving Cay and Larry to
look after the agency.
Why
the Shamrock in our logo?
The Teague name traces back to some Irish roots.
Herschell was especially proud of that heritage
and incorporated the shamrock into our logo
By 1985, after starting the agency in 1982, Herschell
was ready for some help. I left the retail store in Texarkana where I
was working, and joined the agency. I have both an agents'
license and a brokers' license,
and my Arkansas insurance license number is
38191.
I also have a non-resident license
in Oklahoma and Texas. I am active in the Independent
Insurance Agents of Arkansas. I attend more than 20 hours a year of
insurance continuing education so that I stay current on policy changes
and coverages. I have been a Certified
Insurance Counselor for more than 20
years.
My wife, Debbie, and
I have two children that we love very much and are very proud of, Larry,
Jr and Shelly. Debbie serves the people of Howard County as
Tax Assessor. We attend the First United
Methodist Church in Nashville.
